This Gokyo Valley - Chola pass to Everest base camp trek also known as Everest Circuit trek. This is one of the best treks in the Everest region; it covers one of the high pass of Cho La at 5330meters into the Base Camp of Mount Everest. A unique trek that goes through Lukla, Namche bazaar and all the way to Gokyo, Chola Pass, Kalapattar and Everest Base Camp. This trip leads you to the home of the legendary Sherpa people, based at the foothills of the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest at 8850meters. This trek follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake which is to the west of the Everest Base Camp, giving you the benefit to summit Gokyo Peak (5483meters) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest and Makalu. As we cross the Cho-La pass and return back to Lukla following the route through Everest Base Camp, Kalapattar down to Tengboche monastery, Khumjung village, Namche Bazar, Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Everest including several other similar peaks and explore the Buddhists monasteries located several places at the world's highest elevation. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 1Arrive at TIA Kathmandu (1350m) & Transfer to the Hotel:On your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), one of our representatives will be awaiting for you at the airport terminal to welcome and greet you to the kingdom of the Himalayas. You will then be transferred to your hotel and assist you to check in to the hotel and once all the formalities done you are fee to rest and relax. Later in the evening you may wish to stroll around nearby your hotel for your evening walk. Stay overnight at Kathmandu, bed and breakfast included
  • Day 2Kathmandu City TourToday, we explore the heritages of ancient city of Kathmandu valley which stands shoulder to shoulder with the modern lifestyle of the city and it is listed in the UNESCO World heritage site list, Kathmandu valley hosts some very sacred pilgrimages for Hindus temple the Pashupatinath, and the Buddhist Stupas such as Swayambhunath Stupa also known as the Monkey Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. The Royal complex, known as Durbar Square, host historical palaces, temples and statues, museums, intricate carvings on monuments, and so on. These heritages provide you the feeling of ‘time travel’ and a sense of relaxation. Today’s tour simply reflects the outstanding cultural and historical significance of the Kathmandu valley. Stay overnight in the hotel in Kathmandu included bed and breakfast.
  • Day 3Kathmandu- Lukla (2804 meters) - Phakding (2610 meters):An early morning start takes us to Tribhuwan international Airport in Kathmandu for the scenic flight to Lukla at 2804meters. After landing you have time to explore the village while our crew sort and load our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). The walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2550m) it is a short walk to Phakding. Spend overnight at Guesthouse.
  • Day 4Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3441 meters)From Phakding the trail continues along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags and enters into Sagarmatha National Park. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views all the way to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is known as the Gateway of Everest which is the city of many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, Money exchange, internet cafe and a bakery. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail. Spend overnight here at Namche Bazaar included bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 5Acclimatization:We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust into the thin air of the higher land. As well as we do a short hike to the Syangboche Airport and around Everest View Hotel Everest view. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise or sunset over the panorama of the Khumbu peaks. In the evening we will come back to Namche and spend another overnight here at Namche.
  • Day 6Namche- Phorste Thanga (3680meters):Today we follow the trail climbing steeply out of valley through rhododendrons, junipers and large conifers forests that start to appear as the elevation increases making the trekking beautiful in spring. The trail passes through Yak Kharkas and summer settlements. The views of Khumbi La and Tawache are magnificent throughout the day. Spend overnight at Guesthouse in Phorste Thanga included bed breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 7Trek to Machherma (4470 meters):The trail climbs a ridge for an excellent view both down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho Oyu and descend to a river and again climbs steep to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpz glacier. We will reach at Machherma by early noon. Spend overnight at Guesthouse Machherma included BBL&D.
  • Day 8Machherma - Gokyo (4790m):Today the trail takes us at one of many magnificent destinations, Gokyo at the height of (4790m). We will make Gokyo our base for two nights as we take a rest day and go off for sightseeing around Gokyo for the day and return to our lodge for the evening. Stay overnight at Gokyo and included BBL&D.
  • Day 9Rest day: site trek of Gokyo Ri (5483 m) and around the lakes:Today early in the morning we go to see the sunrise view from the top of Gokyo Ri at elevation of 5483 m, there are stunning views of the Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and an incredible panoramic view of the whole Khumbu Himalayas, such as Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and Gychung Kang can be seen. After sunrise view from The Gokyo Ri we slowly climb down back to Gokyo. We may want to explore the glacier and lakes in the afternoon or just take rest in or around the guesthouse that we are staying in. Stay another night here in Gokyo at at Guesthouse and included BBL&D.
  • Day 10Trek to Thangna (4500m, 4/5 hours):Today we trek on the around the lakes to reach to Thangna at the bottom of the Cho La pass. We stay overnight here Thangna at the lodge and included bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 11Trek Thangna (via Cho La pass 5300 m) to Dzongla (4710m, 7/8 hrs):Today is a long ascent to the pass and also long descent after the pass, so we must trekking before sunrise around 4/5 o’clock to reach to the Chola Pass no later than by 10 O’clock in the morning otherwise weather conditions may affect our journey to Dzongla. We cross the Chola Pass at the altitude of 5300m, we could be exposed to strong wind, clouds and may be snowing if we happend to be crossing too late and face the bad weather. We start to climb down steep path that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. Up on arrival at the top the reward is unbelievably magnificent views not only all the valleys, hills and glaciers, but also the views of all the mountains in the Khumbu area. After having photos and snack time we quickly start descending to the Dzongla. On our arrival at Dzongla we spend a night at a guesthouse in Dzogla included BBL&D.
  • Day 12Trek to Lobuche (4910m, 3/4hrs):Today the path is easy and the distance is not long, so we leave Dzogla after breakfast and we should arrive Lobuche by lunch time. Today we will take easy and short trekking route as we had long and hard trekking day yesterday. On our arrival at Lobuche we stay overnight in a guesthouse and included bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 13Lobuche - Everest Base Camp (5365m) - then back to Gorak Shep (5180m, 7/8 hrs):This is another long but most rewarding walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365m, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipments and skills. You might be able to see the team preparing to climb the Mt Everest or other mountains just a bit further from the base camp. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular and mesmerising, We spend some time here in Base Camp for photos and looking around then we return back to Gorak shep for overnight stay night.
  • Day 14Early in the Morning Trek - Kalapathar (5545m) & trek down - Periche 41200m, 7hrs):Today we get up early in the morning and hike to Kalapathar to see the sunrise view over the mountains and Khumbu glaciers. This hike to Kalapathar is in the dark and it is one of the difficult hikes yet it is one of the most rewarding hikes of this trek. We spend early morning climbing to Kala Patar the best viewpoint in the Khumbu area, at the height of 5545m. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the best rewards of the most magnificent mountain panorama view of Everest, the highest Mountain on the planet 8850m, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. After short photo moment we make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, here we have breakfast and then trek down to Periche and stay overnight here in Pheriche.
  • Day 15Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours:From Periche we take a slightly different route down to Orsho then to Pangboche village. Here is the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of a Yeti, or abominable snowmanthe. Leaving mountains behind us our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3860 meters before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441meters. We arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon. Stay overnight at guesthouse included bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 16Trek to Lukla (2804 meters) 6 hours:Today we back trace downhill our footsteps all the way back to Lukla which might take 7/8 hours. As we back trace, it gives an opportunity to enjoy the time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. On arrival at Lukla you might have some time to explore the town. We stay here in Lukla and celebrate our achievement with our trekking staffs in the evening.
  • Day 17Morning flight back to Kathmandu:Today we take early flight back to Kathmandu and before you fly out of Lukla you got last chance to enjoy the glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited. The flight Scenic flight back to Kathmandu takes just about 35 minutes. On arrival in Kathmandu we transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is free.
  • Day 18Leisure day in KathmanduIt's also spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla, you may wish to do some other activities with us such as go to Chitwan national park for Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, or mountain flights, just let us know.
  • Day 19Final day of the trip, transfer to airport:This trip officially ends today; our airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your onward or return flight and wish you a safe journey and hope to see you back in Nepal soon.
